Beltraco Mender Fast
Beltraco Mender Fast is a fiberous paste used during finishing reconstruction for hiding defects such as scratches, thorn marks, cracks and abrasions. Mender Fast is easily sandable (buffed), so it's particulary suited to be used when a perfectly even surface is desired before a complete refinishing.
It has good adhesion to pigmented leather with limited absorbency. BELTRACO Mender Fast may be colored as desired adding up to 10% of Touch Up Pigment, HCC High Coverage Color &/or PBC Pigment Base Coat.
Use:
Clean and degrease the repair area. It is applied using a spatula, left to dry and then buffed with buffing paper to produce a smooth surface ready for the subsequent finishing. Mender Fast adheres well to the leather, even if the leather is greasy and not very absorbent.
Lightly overfill the defect to compensate for the small reduction in volume due to drying. Leave Mender Fast to dry until it is easy to sand to a powder. Do not use a hairdryer or you will dramatically affect
product performance and adhesion. Sand with P600/P800 sandpaper until the surface is smooth and ready for further treatment. Mender may be colored as desired adding up to 10% of Touch Up Pigment, HCC High Coverage Color &/or PBC Pigment Base Coat.
