Repair products for shower tray damage
Shower tray repair is usually the result of an accident in the home or during a renovation but can also occur during manufacturing, transport or during assembly. This used to be a costly and time-consuming job as it required chopping and breaking to completely replace a shower tray. Nowadays, a shower tray repair can be done fast and without any breaking with spot repair. The damages that are common are scratches, pits, cracks and chipped pieces.
A shower tray can be made of enamelled sheet steel, acrylic, natural stone, Dekton® or artificial stone/composite such as Silestone®.
For a shower tray manufactured from enamelled sheet steel, acrylic and artificial stone/composite, Beltraco has Light Cure (LCA) and DUO Cure (DCR) repair kits in its range. Shower tray repair kits are available in various standard colours such as:
For acrylic surfaces 2 grams: including Standard white (Villeroy & Boch), Starwhite, Pergamon grey/white, Pergamon cream/white, Dust grey (RAL 7037), Anthracite grey (RAL 7016), Light grey (RAL 7035) and Signal white (RAL 9003).
For enamel: Starwhite 556 and Standard white 1144.
For natural stone and artificial stone/composite 2 grams: including Transparent, Black, Carrara white, Carrara black , Blue, Red, Yellow, Orange brown (RAL 8023), Clay brown (RAL 8003), Sephia brown (RAL 8014) and Ochre brown (RAL 8001).
With Beltraco Light-curing filler for enamel, the dark carrier material (dark metal) cannot show through because of the opaque quality of our filler and the higher pigmentation of the colour.
When repairing a shower tray, the light-curing filler is cured with an LED lamp (blue light) and then polished. The filler does not discolour with ageing, can be used in food preparation environments and is virtually invisible. Once the shower tray has been repaired, it can be used again immediately.
